A Prayer to Give Your Life to Christ
Whether you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, straight, transgender, questioning, younger, older, experiencing physical or mental challenges or some other chronic illness, rich, poor or in between: God has a purpose for your life (Isaiah 46:4). You are who you are for a reason, and the best way to discover that reason is to talk with the manufacturer (Job 33:4)!
Christ was an example for us as to how to walk out the purpose of God on the earth. His life shows us the magnitude of the affect we can have on this earth if we live as a servant of God. His death shows us the meaning of complete surrender and removes from us all the imperfections that the enemy and our conscious would try to use to convince us we’re not worthy of a relationship with God. Through faith in Christ, we are made perfect in the eyes of God. Old things are passed away and all things are become new (2Cor. 5:17)!
NuWine Press invites you to take full advantage of The Way that has been made for you!
Now – receive God’s power to help you live your best life!
Take a moment to pray this prayer:
Dear God, I thank You for making me who I am, I thank You for the purpose you designed for my life and I thank You for the desire You’ve put in me to know You. I believe in your Son Jesus Christ, I believe that the life that He lived, the love that He showed, the death that He died and His victory over the grave were all designed to draw me nearer to You and remove every fault, mistake and imperfection that could ever stand between us. I want to live my life for You, God. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, give me understanding of Your Holy word and help me to stay close to You, starting now and for the rest of my life. I ask these things in the name of the one I will now and forever call Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Know this – God is a Spirit, and His voice is not always heard as a human voice. You have already heard God’s voice. Your desire to pray this prayer and seek a relationship with God are all a result of God’s voice speaking to your heart during and through your daily experiences (John 16:13). Christianity is not perfect, but the more we as Christians surrender to the love and will of God, the more powerful our faith will become. Search online for a church to join where you can find others who are sorting out this process just as you are. Read your Bible – begin with the Gospel of John in the New Testament and join a bible study group for guidance. Be patient with yourself and keep your eyes on the goal: to know God today better than you did yesterday. God is with you now and forever.
Welcome to the faith! Faith is an adventure, and in the end, we win (Revelations 21:3-7)!
